Hi Ladypro,
I'm so sorry about your Papa. I know how over-whelmed you must feel. I have been there.
I had 29 year old, textured silicone, above the muscle implants removed in April, as they had become slighlty encapsulated in 2010. I had goen from an A, to a B, but now, was a D, gained weight, got older, etc. My surgery went very well, I did not even need general ansthesia, but had local, with sedation. I was scared too, but am pleased with my results. The surgeon went in under the breast (incision), as I understand sometimes there can be issues with repeated incisions in the areola. Why don't you just do the removal now (while you have so much going on in your life), and have peace. Then, after 6 months, you can see how your results are, and then re-evaluate, if you think you want, or need, a lift, or even re-implantment? I didn't want any more hassles. Mine are smaller now, (obviously), and not as balloon like, but they are natural, and all mine, and I love them. God bless, and good luck.
Great. Pretty sloggy for the first 4 weeks, incisions a bit tender. But fine. Then, weeks 5 and 6, real turning points where you start to really feel like yourself again. Strong, healthy and normal.
Mine were removed with partial capsulectomy Arpil 17. Girls - how long does the redness on the incisions last? My incisions are under the breast. And it's so hard to find a bra that doesn't touch this area- any suggestions? Also, can you/should you, put vitamin E on the incisions? And if so, when?
To kylief, and anyone else in the LA area? I just had mine out at UCLA Med., wih Dr. Timothy A Miller. He was the best in every way possible, and his wonderful team. For 24 hour post-op aftercare, I went to "Serenity", in Santa Monica, also, perfection, and felt like Heaven on earth. The Hotel Angeleno has special rates for patients at UCLA too, and a shuttle service back and forth (pre-arranged). I don't know if I'm supposed to post names here? But I am so grateful for my positive experience.
