Hi there! I have to tell you it "GETS BETTER". I am so happy to just now be able to sleep normal in my bed. Actually I think I sleep better now. Just realized...I haven't had back pain from my mattress since my surgery. Regardless...I still sometime prefer to sleep with pillows under my knees. You may start to love your compression garment. They really do help with swelling and you just need to be easy on yourself. In regard to pain....especially at night...take meds if you have them. You know your body and you need to feel comfortable! You are doing great and you need to ovent. Shooooot I think I had my share of crying...bless my hubby. You will make it and you will be so happy. Everyday things get better! Keep us updated on your recovery! Congrats on the new you! With my sugery I never had staples but eitherway....yes, the pain can really get to you.
Thank you MaumeMG! I will take it all too....I would do it again in a second. You are right...the swelling is severe one moment and then down, then up. It;s crazy but the PS stated that this will happen for up to 9-12 months. I am scared to drinkl soda of any kind or even look at salt. lol! Do you think exersise will help ease the swelling?
I am so excited for you!!!!! I just had my 6week post op.....can't believe how time flashes by. My dr laughed at me stating for such a large surgery....6 weeks isn't much. Lol It's tough but you will be soo happy! Keep us up to date. Kudos to the hubby!!!!!
