Hi Kate
Funny you should mention the thing about going braless. Yesterday, for the first time, I put a t-shirt on without a bra. WOW. I COULD DO IT in public and look absolutely respectable. But will I? NO- not yet. I guess the psychological healing has to catch up to the physical healing and it will take some time. We are in the same time frame, recovery wise, and have had similar experiences. I am so much more comfortable now- it's really impossible to put into words.
hi- well i was where you all are and now it's 2 months out and i just want to say that the worst of the actual surgery (for me) was 1) a bit of a sore throat when i woke up and 2) a headache and a bit nauseaus that evening. other than that there was literally no pain. i had all the same worries as you all are having- just rest assured it will be the BEST thing you ever did. went to kohl's yesterday and got my 36 sexy freeking C's WHO WOULD"v THUNK IT!!!!
good luck to everyone and happy recovery- just take it easy the first couple of weeks.
i've been reading here since december- and yeah, everyone's ps's seem to give different instructions when it comes to how long and what kind of bra to wear in recovery. i was instructed to wear the beast for the first 6 weeks- now i'm being told to wear some kind of bra 24/7 for 6 months. ok- so long as the beast is now in retirement, i really don't mind wearing my bali revolution stretchy thang (which i now have in black, white, blue, AND pink lol) under my nightie.
