I wish I knew what I know now about the thread lift. It is not worth the money. The pain is unbearable. The lift only last for 4 to 6 months, the threads come out of your skin causing bleeding and pain. I look worse now than I did when I got the threads done. My face is so saggy...i was trying to achieve the disappearance of the nasal folds.
Don't waste your time and money...get a abdominalplasty. I had the abdominalplasty(tummy tuck) done in 2003 and never looked back. My stomach is flat as ever and eat what I want, fit into clothes without a problem,do not have rolls hanging when I sit down.
I, too dated white men...but fell in, love and have been married for 21 years. I never thought about color...but you are right it seem that white men don't think much about the color of you skin whether it is too dark or light.

In America dark skin is the demise of a black woman. I don't think black women hate their color it's just used as a separator.
