  That's a good point. How the white American culture refers to Black Americans as African American. I mean if that's the case then most white people should be called European American since at some point in time most could trace our ancestry back to that worldly region. "Black" is really just a reference to one's skin color (though it's really not black at all). I mean do black Americans want to be referred to as just Black? or Black(African American)? Then we have the NAACP which still refers to "black people" as "colored" (which was? is? a derogatory term)
