My PS said no massage, not yet. The hard area will soften in another week or so. Said swelling was doing well, and that 90% of swelling will disappear by 3months...
I bought a product from him called ScarGuard - which is silicon like, and you paint it on like nail polish. Like it a lot. Put it on 2x day and let it dry for 1min.
He also said I could start to ditch the CG, he's not a big fan - but understands that psychologically we (women) like them. They will help reduce swelling overnight, but to start to wean myself off it if I want, or I can keep wearing it if its comfortable.
The "hairs" were "hairs" in the scar line. Guess what - my PS lasered them off for FREEEEE! Love my PS.
Anywho - doing well overall. Hope you all are too...

Hi Ladies - I havent forgotten about you, I've been buried with family and friends and holidays - and I have OCD so I feel like I'm the guy with the mustache and the garbage can at the end of Rocky and Bullwinkle picking up after everyone (as much as I was allowed)!

I've been a voyeur and reading up on how everyone is doing. Sounds like most everyone is doing ok, and I am glad to hear it.

I've got an appt with the PS tomorrow - will be my 3 week check in (TT was 12/15). Overall i've been really well. I relaxed for about 5 days straight - barely leaving the recliner, me and my good buddy "percie" was with me every 4 hours on the nose. I've been off meds for about 5 days now. I have to take Tylenol 2-3x per day otherwise I'd be too uncomfortable. Not unbearable pain tho. I am so glad that I (we) did this. It is totally amazing what a body transformer it is!

I totally overdid it on NYE and ended up throwing up from too much champs. BAD IDEA - but will help me abstain for the month of Jan. That was probably the worst feeling, I can totally understand how awful cougarsoccer must have felt with her stomach bug.

My scar is pretty good. Still a little thin scab and I have a few "hairs" (iewwww) that seem to be growing out of it. Need laser now...more $$ to my PS, he will be happy.

I recently started putting Bactine spray right after shower and then some Neosporin. I hope that's ok. I will ask my PS tomorrow, but I don't seem to have any problems which is good. I've got pics to post, from right after, and a couple weeks ago - and will have DH take some tonight and get them posted asap.

Off to walk the dog and go to the store. I've been lucky I can "work" from home so, I haven't had to brave getting dressed and ready in work clothes. I don't even have to go in tomorrow either - no appts scheduled, but plan on making an appearance in the am, and taking off around lunch for PS appt.

My diet and eating habits are good tho - and I weighed in 2.5 lbs less today than the day of surgery. Yay!

    Any tips on:
    1. when to start massage? its hard in some places
    2. bio oil? anyone using it?

Thank you for all the positive good mojo and support.

Bella you will do great, and I will be thinking of you. Day 2 is bad because of coming out of the anesthesia, but it was totally manageable with pain meds and lots of rest. I felt great day one and feel great again today. You can do it.
Getting a TT is scary, but totally safe. This site and the ladies are here to support you. A TT will give you self confidence and the beautiful body that you deserve. You will be happy.
Before my surgery I was so nervous waiting for the doc to mark me up that I was "almost" crying. But - I couldn't bring myself to cry because I had a pre-surgery a mantra and it helped me stay focused: "This is what I want. I will be happy. I will be pain free, healthy and safe." I kept saying this to myself, and the power of prayer and positive thinking worked!!
Now I have a new mantra: "I am in control of my recovery. I will not be in unbearable pain. I will be happy with my result. I will stay on track with my diet and exercise. I will be at my goal weight before March 15." For me it helps to have a mantra/prayer, maybe it would help you too? big hug to you.
    :)
