I read sherman oaks restylane and see the problems with semi-permanent fillers. However I was under the impression semi-permanent were less likely to cause problems. I have had this problem for about 6 years now and dont know how much longer I can endure this pain on a daily basis. I have written to thousands of doctors all over the world but it appears nobody really knows what to do and the things suggested have not worked so I am at my wits end. I have enquired from the SA plastic surgeory Association on Dr Cassuto's treatment should some Doc here do the same but I have had no luck in finding a South African doc. That surprises me as South Africa is know for having the best Plastic Surgeons in the world. I do feel if I was able to that more treatments by Dr Cassuto I could possible have some relief. This whole situation is just not fair. I was a very outgoing woman and I have withdraw completely as I just want to be on my own to deal with my pain. I pray that someone comes up with a way to cure to this in my life time.
Wow and I only thought that people who have permanent filler have had problems. To tell you the truth these operations, medications and trip to Italy has drained me financially so I have been limited to medical support. The lumps in my lips feel like blind pimples and throb. Yes I too have heard that most people do not have pain but because the lumps throb I am inclined to touch a lot and I am sure that does more damage than good. Lumbrokinase is quite expensive, especially the Gold Star product called Bolouke, however I ordered mine from Wild Earth Marketing and the make I ordered was a Allergy Research Group product. Thanks doll I think we should all stick together in this as some day someone will find a solution to this hectic problem.
Yes I went to Dr Cassuto and for a while I had a slight improvement but my lips are really very bad. I am not sure if it is a biofilm infection as everytime I have an operation another lump appears and sometimes more than one so I can only believe that when the biofilm is tampered with that the bacteria form another lump. I did not find Dr Cassutos approach too bad, but I had travelled all the way from South Africa and he did only one treatment even though I had said I was prepared for at least 3. I recently spoke with a doctor who has been on television (She deals with Lyme disease) which also is a problem with biofilms and she suggested I take Lumbrokinase (I believe its from an earthworm) as this medication is to penetrate biofims and then in conjuntion with that to take antibiotics. I have ordered it from America and that is the next thing on my list to try. I am not prepared to give up.
I totally agree... I live a life of hell due to having a permanent filler injected in my lips. I have had 6 operations, 10 sessions of cortizone, taken umpteen medications including organ anti-rejection, been to see Dr Cassuto in Italy to no avail. My lips have loads of painful lumps. The doctor who injected me has passed away so there is no recourse. My hearts go out to all the people going through this pain.
