Hey Ladies- I rescheduled my surgery this morning for March 28th. :( My DD9 has an autoimmune disease that has been acting up lately and I need to focus on getting her better before I am incapacitated for a while. I wish you all great success and happiness with your upcomming TTs! Check on me around the end of March and let me know how it all went for you!
I finally got up the nerve to do the consultation. At the end, the nurse explained the procedure for booking the surgery. I jokingly said, "I am sure that he wouldn't have Dec. 14th available". She went and checked and he did! That is a time at my job where I have time off and I could take only a few weeks of sick days. It won't be the best "vacation" ever- but it will be worth it! :)
Hi Suzanne! You are scheduled the day after me and our kids are similar ages. Mine are 9, 14, and 16- all HUGE babies (over 9 lbs.). I will have trouble not doing any activity during the 6 weeks of recovery, as well. My plan is to try to get outside and walk at least once per day, treadmill (slow) if weather is bad (I am in NY- cruddy winter weather...). Keep in touch!
I am also on the 14th! We can all go through this with each other's support. Ladies, I also told co-workers, extended family members, etc. the hernia story. Otherwise, I thought it might come out as looking selfish, as I will miss a few weeks of work... My doctor has assured me that this procedure will reduce lower back aches and possibly help me with my incessant IBS, so to me- it is not such a far stretch from the truth!
