The main drawback is dry mouth. If you don't drink water consistently, you will get it, and it can be irritating. I haven't had it in a while though. I do take my trays out when I run because it will get dry and affect my running. Sometimes there are small things such as sharp edges on the trays, but that could be fixed with a small file. Sometimes I do get lazy and don't brush my teeth right after I eat. Minor things like that are worth the end result though.
It depends. My first set of trays from my first provider came in a short amount of time. My revision from my second provider took 5 weeks. It's just one of those things if you're lucky, you'll get them sooner. Anticipate a month though or else you'll get disappointed every extra week you have to wait.
The X-rays were included with the groupon deal, verify with your provider. You might have to pay extra for retainers at the end of your treatment plan. This are to keep your teeth straight. Usually you wear them 6 months after treatment, similar to your trays. Then it changes to only at night.
