Yes, may God help us indeed. My face looks just like your picture. Are you saying it was taken one year after your laser treatment? How on Earth did they say they were going to fix it? If they did it again, wouldn't that just cause more burning? I am appalled and pray that you have found satisfactory relief. The eye lifts have caused problems too and, I am told, will need additional surgery to correct them.
This gives me great comfort. After reading other posts on this site I was becoming afraid that my terribly sunburned look and skin sensitivity were going to be permanent. I had the procedure at a Lifestyle Lift center 2 1/2 weeks ago, but it was neither in Troy, MI nor in FL, and my doctor is a Harvard educated and fully certified facial cosmetic surgeon. Perhaps, as far as the laser RX goes, I just need to be patient for a few months. Thank you for your very helpful post.
I would really appreciate an update and hope to hear that your laser issues have been satisfactorily resolved. It's been 2 1/2 weeks since my face lift and laser treatment. The lift looks great except that my smile is too tight, but the laser treatment has caused problems that I am beginning to fear are permanent. The swelling and meat grinder look have noticeably improved but I look terribly sunburned and my face is so sensitive that I cannot use any products at all without experiencing rashes and irritation. Aveeno Ultra Calming products cause the least problem but it is still not good. Prior to surgery I never had this sort of problem. Thank you and best wishes.
My doctor was a delightful, warm, caring, highly trained and Harvard educated fully certified cosmetic surgeon, still - complications, complications, and more complications. Unfortunately I didn't think to use a credit card to pay as other posters suggested but paid by check from my small inheritance from my recently deceased husband. Yes people do strange things while grieving. Credit card payment sounds like a very good idea for anyone who is thinking about cosmetic surgery. And yes, it pays to thoroughly research your dr., but even then there are no guarantees.
How unhappy are you with your current look? There are always trade offs, even without possible complications of which there are many. You are likely to look different, maybe better, maybe just different. What you want to fix could look great but there might be compromises, e.g., a great-looking jaw and neckline but a tight, stilted smile because your face is tight. That was my experience. The laser surgery and eye lift were a disaster with permanent complications and I think, knowing what I know now, it would be criminal to recommend them. I see it is now two years after your post so you have probably resolved your questions and made your decision. If you've had the procedure done, I truly hope it turned out well for you. If you haven't yet decided, I hope my experience has helped.
