Excercise with a friend so you can motivate each other. You must maintain a healthy weight range w diet & regular workouts otherwise all that effort has been in vain. I box, walk my dogs, hit the gym 3/4 times a week and have just gone back to gymnastics. Once you get back into sport it will reignite your desire to stay trim. The hardest thing is getting motivated. Call a friend ! Good Luck ! Xx
I had my surgery mid November 2011 and I can say without a doubt it's the best decision I have made in my life to date ! I had Vaser Liposuction done on my upper/lower abdomen as well as my flanks with a total of 1 litre of fat removed. I was up and walking the next day with minimal discomfort and unbeknownst to my doctor I flew the next day. Apart from the rushed unhooking of buttons from the compression bandages when I have to use the bathroom, it has been relatively smooth sailing for me. The most painful part was the massages which I had almost every day, and even though it's excruciating to begin with, the pain subsides as you learn to tolerate the discomfort. I liken it to massaging a sore bruise!
All in all the whole experience had it's ups and downs, but the end result was amazing. Granted I only had 1 litre of fat removed but after 6 wks post op I am loving my new figure. I am alot more conscious of what I eat and weigh a tiny 50kgs right now so dieting and excercise is also integral to achieve the results you are looking for. Main tips for all those thinking of taking the step, do your research before you commit to a surgeon, excercise pre/post op, wear your compression garment all the time unless showering... And most importantly , massage the area thoroughly. This is so important to even out the skin tone. Take pain killers if you must but massaging it, no matter how painful the experience, is crucial to your recovery. Thanks Tiff
Hello Katie,
I'm thinking about getting vaser lipo and I just wanted to ask you how you felt when you first had it done. I am 150cms tall and weigh 52 kgs so I am not very big at all. I only want about 1-2 kgs of localised fat around my tummy removed and they told me I should recover well. How long did it take before you saw the results ? Thanks Tiffany
