Yes, the thing is a bacteria farm and doesn't particularly do any exfoliation. I got rid of mine and the breakouts went away. It's just the emperor's new clothes and a ridiculously good marketing campaign. The device doesn't really do anything except take yesterday's germs and spread them all over your face.
Yuck! Any idiot can tell that this thing is a bacteria farm. I'm just guessing that their salespeople go around to skin MDs and they recommend it. It's like a case of the emperor's new clothes. It's SO obvious this device is unhygenienic. I had massive acne outbreaks from the day I started using it.
