Tattoo removal creams do not work. I have had my tattoo a long time, and I went to a dermatologist back in the mid 80's to have it removed, and he did a small test spot with the laser that left a raised scar. I decided to wait for the laser technology to advance, and read extensively about the q-switched laser, and went for it. I have had one treatment, and I'm looking forward to my second.
From what I understand, the older the tattoo, say 25+ years or less than 6 months old, the easier it is to remove. Other than that, your facing alot of treatments. Black is easiest to remove from what the laser tech told me. They use the q-switch laser.
It hurts, and I mean bad!! For my next session, I'm going to order Dr. numb. I have had two c-sections, and the shingles. I have to say having the laser removal of the tatoo on my breast was extremely painful, but it's going to be worth it. And yes, it hurts way worse than having one put on. Although no one will listen, as you age your skin does stretch. So think twice, and maybe three times before putting permanent ink on your body.
