I had 4.5L removed. Not sure what the equals to in lbs, only b/c I haven't googled it yet!! Haha!
I still have my original compression garment on, 24/7. I am to wear it for another 2 wks, so 1 month total. Then half days.
My garment is security for me, I love putting it back on after my showers! I do not believe I will be buying another garment, my dr. didn't recommend another garment.
Moving around is the key~ well..and staying away from salt/sodium!!

I went to Dr. V for a Mommy Makeover originally. This is my experience with the initial consult. First he checked out my areas that I felt I needed help. Abs/back/lovehandles/thighs. then we went into BA. I tried on several different sizes of Silicone implants, and I personally liked the larger implant that I tried on, but Dr. V was very polite in telling me that if I had the Lipo done, I would look to busty! He goes more for the natural look. Which is what I want. However, I could not visualize myself any smaller than what I was. Don't get me wrong, I was not a big girl to start off with... 5'3 125lbs sz 7/8pants... 34B... , but in my eyes, I was HUGE!
So when trying on the implants, I wanted the larger Breasts to accommodate the larger body I was in. Dr. V tried to show me what I would look like after lipo, but I am the type of person that I need to see it to believe it. So, I opted out of Mommy Makeover, Chose to do the Lipo first, and then when I am healed, I will go back in for BA consult.
The down side is that I have 2 recovery times, but after the lipo of my abs/flanks/back/inner & outer thighs I was back to work in 4 days. Office job, but still back to work. Again I am a little over 2 wks out of surgery, but my pants are literally falling off of me. I am still swollen a bit and the dr. states I have NOT started to shrink yet.
So it looks like he was right in my case. I am so much smaller than what I thought would happen, and i'm not even done with the swelling from the lipo.
Hi Nikki,
I've had lipo on my back/flanks/abs/inner & outer thighs a little over 2 wks ago. I went in for surgery on Friday morning, and back to work on Tuesday! I also have a desk job.
I have had a similar experience, but the second day after surgery I was up and walking for an hour with my family. My Dr. wanted me to get up as soon as I could, and fight through the pain if possible. Of course I was on my Pain meds the whole time!
I go in for my 2nd follow visit today, still wearing my garment, however its crotch-less so I don't have to remove it to use the restroom, but I do handwash it every night and put it in the dryer on Air Fluff, in the mean time I bought a control garment from JC penny's to wear while the original is drying.
2 wks into this, I'm feeling stiff if I sit too long, I have trouble bending over, it is still uncomfortable. I only have 8 incisions, the one's i'm struggling with the most are right above my pubic bone. I have 3, and the area is swollen still, and is hard when you press on it. I am going to get it looked at to make sure it is normal. I have had NO leakage the entire time! My numbness has went away, but still swollen. Not too bad. I have a hard time keeping my slacks on at work, and I can't wear a cute belt as of yet due to when I sit it feels too tight.
Just thought I would share my experience with you. Feel free to ask questions if you would like. :)
Good Luck! He is great! I will say I wasn't nervous until I pulled into the parking lot of the hospital...then the anxiety hit hard! When they took me back to prep me, and all the nurses come up and ask the same questions over and over and then I felt really scared! I almost talked myself out of it, but when they started to wheel me back to the operating room, I remember going through a set of doors, and then waking up with a nurse getting me dressed!
I'm really glad I went through with the surgery! Lipo feels like you worked out extremely hard at the gym, little bit of actual pain, but mostly soreness. I took the pain meds, but for the most part i'm fine. The swelling is a little concerning...but it's normal.
I wish you luck! If they request you get the Bromelain & Arnica I would highly recommend it. I purchased the small set which was $40 but since you are having a BA as well, you might need the larger set! Keep me updated...What areas are you have Lipo??
