I have not been happy with my results either. I still need to go to another ps to see what it will cost to fix an ugly belly button and to fix a lump on my right side of my stomach. So much for a tummy tuck and lipo. My ps said that I needed more lipo after going through a mommy makeover and paid extra for lipo. $18,000 dollars and 6 months later - I cried all the way home. My primary care doc said it looked like fluid that needed to be drained. All that pain and money for a disappointing result. Please let me know how it works out for you. I havent had the time or money to get mine fixed.
I had a tt on 1/3/12. I now have a scar that is hip to hip and raised that you can see it through my underwear. I also have a keloid belly button that is just downright disgusting to look at. Make sure if you are prone to scarring that the surgeon doesnt use internal stitches to recreate your belly button. My before picture looks just like yours and if I could turn back time, I would take my old belly button and fat stomach back in an instant.
If you cannot afford plastic surgery then it is not an option. I never thought in a million years that I would get plastic surgery. I found myself in a better financial position and my answer changed to a mommy makeover!
Hi AZKitty,
No, not in my clothes yet. With that said I have not been back to work either. I tried a pair of jeans on two days ago and it was a definite no go. Dr. says the only thing to really do is keep the compression garment on until the swelling goes down. I had a lot done on my hips and I guess everyone heals differently. Keep me posted and vice versa!
Hello- I am 48 years young too and will be 49 in April. I just had a mommy makeover on Jan. 3, 2012. Breast lift with saline implants, full tummy tuck and lipo to flanks and hips. Cost was $18,000 in Annapolis, MD. I am glad to see someone my age in here finally who is taking the plunge. I don't have any pics posted but I can tell you that you will be very happy with the results. I am 20 days post op and overall the recovery isn't as bad as I thought. The first two days were the hardest for me and after that it was really not bad. The pain pump and meds work well. The first two days I panicked because I sometimes do not respond to narcotics. Definitely read the blogs and know that post tummy tuck - do not even try to fit in your old clothes. Swelling is normal. I am wearing a compression garment 24/7 and the swelling is still there but I know this is normal. Good Luck and Congrats!
