I had all the symptoms both of you talk about.....I know how terrible it is. I know laying down is the only thing that helps and how much it sucks. I also had to carry around an airplane pillow and that is what I would reccomend to you, atticu. the best thing I can tell you is that in three months when the botox wears off your neck will feel sooo much better! I also can say that I let my neurologist talk me into trying botox a 2nd time, but this time I didnt have ANY of it done in my neck, and I'm happy to say it helped my headaches a ton, and I had no side effects whatsoever.

well, I hate to tell you but the botox didnt help my headaches one bit and the neck pain lasted all three months that the botox was effective...but as soon as I regained use of my eyebrows my neck started to feel a ton better. I also got a new headache specialist and he said he is familiar with botox causing neck pain in migraine patients. so, the good news is, its only temporary. the bad new is, temporary is a few long months. at least it was for me.

    Pitoca,

well, i had neck pain before i got the botox to begin with, but Nope, this SEVERE neck pain never went away, and its been just over three weeks, so it is defenitly a side effect from the botox. both the FDA and botox dot com list neck pain as a side effect. Im currently experimenting with trigger point injections to help with the pain. so far i've had two trigger point injections at the top of my neck where my neck meets my skull and it seems to have helped a little bit, but it also left the area tender from the injections so i'm not sure if i will have any more or not. plus steriod injections come with thier own bag of side effects, so its kind of a no win situation. I honestly dont think the pain will really go away until the botox wears off, then I'll just have my normal neck pain again.

    Britt,
went back to the injecting doc who of course denied that this could be a side effect. he did however give me some muscle relaxers (that dont work) and some oxycodone (that barely work). its now been a solid week since my injections and I'm losing hope that this will subside until the botox wears off. sticking with my review of not worth it!
