  • Posted to Far More Painful Than I Expected,no results. - Colorado on 12 May 2013
Like you I had 4 areas done...3 the same day consisting of the upper abs and the flanks, then 3 months later I did the lower abs. After three months it seemed like I had great improvement, which is why I got the lower abs treated. I got zippo results on the lower abs, and by the time I reached the 6 month period from the initial treatment on upper and flanks, I was about back to my before pics and now and absolutely back there. When I went in for the second time, the nurse told me that now the Zeltique rep said that at first they said one and done, then changed it to some people having to keep coming back. Considering the extreme pain, and the $3K I spent...thanks for nothing!

I had coolsculpting last July and again in Sep....terrible pain the first time for 13 days, and it is not from fat cells bursting. The procedure does some temporary damage to the nerves in the area. I had initially promising results, and then everything went back to the way it was before the treatment, so I feel it was a waste, and something the NP that did the second session said pissed me off. She said the Zeltique rep told them that it is not 'one and done' as they were first told, and that people do need retreatment....sigh...waste of money. Hope you eventually see some positive results

I had coolsculpting last July for my upper abs and flanks and at the three month follow up, was so pleased that I went ahead that same day and had my lower abs done. While I was having the lower abs done, the nurse practitioner was chatting with me and said that at first the Zeltique representative told them the treatments were generally 'one and done'. but later was saying people might need retreatments. When I got to my 6 month point, the 3" loss at month 3 was gone and it was completely back. As for the lower abs, I had absolutely no results. I am so totally disappoiinted now...I neeed to go back and find my original post here and change it to not worth it. To top it off, the pain I had after the first procedure was horrible...not so much for the lower abs, but I was told what I described feels like shingles....

Great results! You look fantastic. I hear they do it on thighs in some areas. I'm going for my 4 month follow up in two weeks and am much fatter than you but at 2 months had lost 3" from upper abs and know I have lost more since. Keep up the good work!

It's been 2 months and 3 weeks since my first procedures, and at 2 months I was down 3 inches, but like you, I have had some days where it looks like it is coming back, then in another day or so it is back to smaller. I had lower abs done 3 weeks ago and a friend recommended I measure from navel to pubic bone like they do when you are pregnant, and I'm down over an inch by that measurement so far. I purposely kept to my exact same way of eating and working out as before so I could see i8f my results are due to the CoolSculpting alone. I already play racquetball 4-5 times a week and lift weights, and that should just be enough exercise. I do undereat and I would probably have better results if I got better at eating what I need to. All I can say is stay patient and maybe measure the same spot once a week to see if you are imaging that you are regaining. Good luck!
