I used gelzone. (ordered off of Amazon.com) I cut strips to the length of my scar. It just sticks to your skin, but does not hurt coming off at all. You can wash it and reuse. I had a couple of strips that I just switched out. The cool sensation of the gel felt good. Other than that, just normal lotion (Lubriderm). :)

You will be just fine. You will be so glad you did this. Just take it easy and take your pain meds as directed. Don't try to tough it out without them. After a couple days or so, you'll know when to start tapering them off. Also, make sure you try to walk a little each time you get up to go to the bathroom. The first week will go by so fast and after that you will start feeling so much better. I'll be praying for you.

Thanks. Yes it is very nice. What is weird is that it feels like it's still there. Then all I have to do is look down or feel that it's gone and it puts a smile on my face. I just feel so much more confident now.
