I know I have to do that (LOL) I will try to get that done. I have been kinda chicken to actually see them online..
@caroweeltrina --I still have several pounds I would like to loose too. The bad thing is I HATE to exercise I feel like it is work and I already have a job for that!!lol But one way or another I will get it done. After seeing the difference the surgery has done I can finish the touch ups!!
Thank you both. I'm not sure they never suggested on taking it but I guess I would ask before I did just so it doesn't set back healing??? Thankfully mine has subsided pretty much but of course when I get out of the shower it tends to flare up but not as bad as it has been.
Hi just found this forum! I am 5'0" and 149 lbs. (pre tt). I had been noticing ladies reports of sizes and about exercise and it kindof scared me since I know I am actually considered overweight. But I had my tt on 10/6 and I am very pleased. I still have some swelling of course but I can wear my clothes very comfortably even at 6 days PO. So good to see other posts from other "shorties"!LOL
Well ladies, I haven't been on here in a few days but I have been trying to catch up on you ladies. I am 19 days PO and doing really good I believe. I never had drains just had two compression garments to wear @ the same time. I thought I had a lot of swelling but apparently it really isn't that bad. I was affraid of trying to put on my clothes but I was able to wear my jeans at 12 day PO and had just a little bit of room in them too. I went back to work then for a couple of hours but because I stand all of the time I felt like a balloon when I went home. I still sleep elevated on pillows and wear the compression garments 27/7 except to take a bath.
Today I took the day to take my girls shopping and by the time I got home I felt huge! After I sit for a while it seems to get better. Between 2 & 3 weeks PO I had terrible itching and the nurse at PS office suggested that I use ice packs or to apply pressure to the area and that can help. It did help some but itching was horrible. Now it seems to have subsided for the most part. I occasionally have some but not like it was. Now my problem is coughing!! I have an area around my new belly button that hurts terribly when I cough. Don't go back to PS until 11/14 and hoping to be able to us scar treatments at that time.
Good to see that everyone is doing fairly well and those with a few bumps in the road I hope they smooth out soon!! Will be thinking of you all and checking back when I can.
Brooksie, Hey good to hear you are out and about! I know what you are talking about on the swelling. I went back to work yesterday (not a full day though) and because I am on my feet the whole time I blew up like a balloon! That is the wierdest feeling. It took a while last night for it to subside but did go down some. Not sure what we could do to reduce it but I have been trying to massage/rub my stomach thinking it might help??? Hope your days get better and better!!
