Hi Everyone,
I didn't realize folks had written in.
Christine2x2: Thank you for your input. I can't wait to get to the end point.
Mojo1: Thank you for the kind words. I appreciate it.
Santa Gloria: The major swelling should go down soon. If you aren't wearing a compression garment, you may want to. I think it helps. I'm not sure how much was removed-they gave me photos of 2 jars that I only glanced at quickly and put in a folder, because it made me feel sick LOL! For the first 5-6 days, I was a couple pounds heavier than before surgery, and then, when the swelling went down, I seemed to be a couple pounds lighter than before surgery.
Liddysue: Yes, I was completely under--thank goodness, or I'm sure I would have fainted :) I forgot to include that it was tumescent (I think most tummy procedures are) and was ultrasound assisted. The first doctor didn't mention the ultrasound, the second one wasn't sure if she would just use power-assisted or ultrasound (I think she mentioned that ultrasound was more likely to cause hardness under the skin/scarring), the one I went with didn't make it seem like a choice.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I end up glad I did it. I guess I'm glad that at least I tried it, so I don't have years of regret wondering if it would have helped.
