Whoa. Check yourself. I have no tie in promoting IPL. I'm actually really interested in what people have to say and have the utmost sensitivity to their stories. Your face is what you present to the world. Anything that makes someone feel self conscious about themselves is not up for judgement and I don't feel I've been judgemental at all! The reason why we're all here is to LEARN. I did not have the same experience but that does NOT mean any one's bad experience isn't valid. I'm supportive and curious as to WHAT HAPPENED as I've had great results. Skin is an organ... it can be treated after trauma. I want to know what works. You had better be careful when pointing fingers. I'm very supportive and appreciative of this thread.

I actually don't know. I had it done through American Laser. I've also had micro and peels done in the past and my skin hasn't looked better. I don't have the need for much makeup.

Honestly, I just cannot believe that happened to your face! Where are you guys getting these treatments?? That's so so horrible. I'm so sorry that you're going through that but IPL is a godsend. It's made my complexion like a newborn baby's. I really want to know where you're getting these treatments. It's perplexing. I hope at least you got your money back and some product to cool your inflammation. :(

I feel for those who have had really bad experiences with IPL & or Micro. I had a horrid complexion in my early twenties. I'm 26 now and I just got fed up with hyperpigmentation, acne, and dull skin. I decided to do IPL & Micro treatments and I can honestly say they've changed my life for the better. I barely touch foundation. People ask me constantly what my secret is. I got the treatments, went vegan, and I down wheat grass shots like it's my job. Instant celebrity skin. I just don't know how IPL could have done that to your skin! I'd sue! IPL is amazing... your technician must have not known what they were doing. I don't want people to be afraid of IPL because of this thread, I just hope that they do their research.

I've had several IPL treatments through American Laser Skincare and they've been nothing but a blessing. Combined with microdermabrasion... my complexion has cleared significantly. I hardly wear foundation these days. I went from a foundation-a-holic to cover up my hyperpigmentation to wearing a sheer, organic, tinted moisturizer. I am really sorry to hear about your experience, Kiki. I don't know enough about skincare/IPL to be able to even begin to know what went wrong! Such a nightmare! I wish you luck finding something that corrects the damage to your complexion.
