Congrats on ditching the binder!! I am still wearing spanx tanks and can't even imagine giving them up. It's totally second nature now. Perhaps I'll brave a day w/o one soon. The last time I tried (3 months?) I ended up extra swollen for days.
Congrats on the cross fit as well! super impressive. I'm working out hard once a week and easy about 2 other times. Still can't quite get back into it. I guess once you are out of the habit. My scar is thick in the middle. Is yours too? The ends are pretty flat but still red.
Hang in there!! It will get better every day, and getting your drains out will be a huge milestone. I can hardly recall those early days, and I'm only 4 months PO. Try to just stay reclined and do absolutely nothing. I took a shower wearing a trash bag to cover the drains, and that made me feel much better. Sounds like the compression garment is the biggest problem. Ask your PS next week if there is an alternative.
The first few days aren't pretty, but you will be back to normal before you know it (and you'll get used to your "new normal" in the interim). Except for a big scar and some swelling, I wouldn't even know I had a TT in terms of discomfort. Things look so much better and I feel great. You will too!
Don't let that silly girl bring you down. A scar shouldn't scare anyone off. I recommend finding someone more mature. Also, to make you feel better, one of the most beautiful women I know is married to someone who also lost a lot of weight since his youth. He has not undergone a body lift (considered it), and it doesn't matter to her either way. I think she's just proud of how healthy he is now and the positive changes he's made.
You look great and if you can strengthen your core short of a TT, I would do that. TT is a big operation and with so little to gain cosmetically for you, I would pass.
