I loved him! All my appointments before and after were super easy.. his staff was amazing! Private message me your email address and I will send you some pictures... it will be easier to really look at them through a bigger picture.
Hi Melisrw78,
Congrats on your surgery!! Hope things have gotten much better for you. Been a while since i've been here on realself.. Figured it was time to update after almost 1.5 years PO. Things are fabulous.. still love love my results. competed in a few Crossfit comps since surgery. I do have numbness still around the belly button area and along my incision but whatever.. my stomach is flat and I have muscle definition! And believe it or not.. depending on my work out or PMS, I still get some swelling.. BLEH!!!
Hi there..
So I took off 7 weeks from work. Everything is going to feel a bit weird getting back into uniform.. I was still very numb so nothing hurt wearing the belt. However the swelling is terrible. I was back full duty as well. The vest didnt bother my stomach at all. They have changed the woman vest for us and it actually fits really good and stays in place and doesn't pinch any thing when you sit. Much better then the old ones. Hope this helps ya a bit! Good luck ;-)
Hi iw.. yes I still have numbness around my belly button area and most of my incision line. Its been a year and a half now.. and the numbness isn't bad and some feeling has come back..
LOL you sound like me.. I was getting some nice PR's right before my surgery last year too! During your recovery, you will have a hard time with anything over head and pull ups.. it tends to pull in your ab area and doesn't feel to good at first.. as time goes on and your muscles start to relax from surgery, over head stuff and pull ups will get easier. Just remember you will loose some strength and stamina.. but it is so important to REST and RECOVER!!! It will hurt your ego when you can't do the weight or the fast time you can do things now, but it WILL come back to you. I think by the time i was 6 months post op, I was able to do everything at RX. My Pr's took me a little longer but not much. My friend had her tummy tuck and is probably now about 6 months post op and she has been doing things RX for quit some time now.. I think it just really depends on each person on how fast you will get your RX back! I can do all the skill prior to surgery the same today!! I hop that helps.. This is a journey and please don't hesitate to ask questions.. the more you know prior to surgery, the easier it will be to get through the hard times :-)
