Don't do any of those. Ive had them all, and the ONLY one that works is cosmelan 2! It's as low as $850-$950. If you do it by the book, the results are amazing!!! It minimizes pores, acne, scars, but it's meant for melasma and discoloration. The process is a bit much but so so worth it!!!

Hi there, Cosmelan 1 is administered in a doctors office. They put this peanut butter looking mask on you and you leave it on for several hours depending on your skin type(I was 10 hours-I'm olive skinned and tan very easily). You wash it off and use the maintenance cream before bed every night, it's the same stuff but lower dosage. They also give you a Vitamin K cream for when your skin peels. Cosmelan reaches the melanin under your skin directly. All the other benefits are on the surface like closing pores drastically and clearing skin from acne. It doesn't do anything for wrinkles, that I have noticed. It does tighten your skin though.

Side effects are all different. I've done it twice and I experienced completely different side effects. The first time I was red and it stung so so badly as my skin was flaking and exposing new skin, and when I put on the maintenance cream, it was AWFUL. I know, it doesn't sound that great, but truly worth it. I also peeled for several days. You MUST stay out of the sun. And I recommend doing this over a long holiday. I peeled the first time for about a week or so, the second time a few days. Both times my skin was super tight. I did everything I was supposed to, and the results were absolutely amazing!! So very worth it.

It isn't the most comfortable peel, but by far the ONLY one I have ever seen results.

The second time I did it was very different. I was more red, and my face swelled up quite a bit. I looked very silly and my face was so fat! I also peeled faster and saw results quicker. Results were great as expected. The pigmentation/melasma was gone, but I'm a golfer and even with the best sunblock, it does come back, especially with hormones always changing it's inevitable that my spots will come back. My skin stays beautiful though, and when I have facials, I always receive compliments on my skin.

Please ask any questions. You can buy the maintenance cream online, but you have to get the initial treatment by a doc, which comes with the full maintenance package. It goes for about $800. Pricey, but this will correct your current issues from your bad facials, peels etc.

I also had huge pores due to drinking wine all the time. Which disappeared after the cosmelan treatment. I also lightened up on the wine drinking =/

Hi, oh wow, your story has horrified me. I'm so so sorry to hear what you are going through. I've done almost everything under the sun for my melasma due to the pill and regular sun damage. Lasers, acid, various peels and micro's(which thinned out my skin) I might have something that will help you. The bumps and pores could b from over treating your skin or using too much product. For ex: I exp orange peel and large pores from merely using an SPF moisturizer that my skin didn't like. It was awful, but the simple solution was to stop. So I'd suggest to change your routine. Your skin may react at first, only because you are switching products. Mine does anytime I switch to a new foundation but then reverts back to normal. Anyway, I highly recommend this at least to try. Wash with cytaphil-use the bar, day and night, chose a light moisturizer and a SPF and UVB sunblock/sunscreen. STAY out of the sun! Now to get rid of your problem. I live by this product, you may have heard of it. Cosmelan 2. It works miracles. I'm a golfer, so even with the best sunblock my melasma returns so I get this done every 6-12 months. It is a peel. Looks like peanut butter on, you leave it on for a while depending on your skin type. You will be red and sunburned, it is painful. The maintenance is tideous. BUT, it will close your pores completely and take care of the orange peel (most likely-obviously not a gaurantee) and just may fix the deadness on your cheeks. You can get it for $800. I a bit pricey, but so worth it just to fix your pores. If the hyper pig comes back that's the least of your worries. I wish u the best.

The flakes are very normal. Not sure what you mean by scabs, more flat dry burnt looking skin? Yes, that's ok too. Sounds like they were thorough. I'm wondering how ur doing now.... By now, you should know how the procedure went. The flaking should be as natural as possible. Stay away from creams and no neosporan, you WANT your skin to slough off. Wear sunblock, sunscreen is nit enough. The pink that is showing, is from the skin coming off too soon. Try not to pick at it, that may scar. The pink skin is super sensitive to the sun. STAY OUT of the sun. The swelling happens to some not all. Red, heat, and burning is normal. I hope this helps. It does sound like they tried to get everything the first time. I hope you're ok, and not scarred.
