Just to clarify for people....the VI Peel and Vitalize Peel are two very different treatments.

See, now someone isnt trying a peel because of one persons experience. Anyone interested in a peel should go to a dermatologists office. They are the experts! Someone on the internet cannot give the same advice. Different skin types obviously react differently and there are so many factors that go into that. Remember that your results are from exfoliating in general....fine lines improved, pigmentation improved, texture, pore size etc.are all things that can be improved by removing dead layers of skin and stimulating collagen production. Vi peels, Cosmelan, even glycolics all work toward the same goal. The deeper the peel the more benefits, but also more downtime, risks and cost. I have performed Vi Peels for 3 years and have never had an unhappy patient! This is not even close to a deep peel and it is worth repeating that it cannot permanently change your skin. My other skincare advice for anyone who cares, would be to use an SPF at all times,a good eye cream and a Retinoid or Retinol product. Nothing is more anti-aging than SPf and a Retinoid...it is literally a prescription for wrinkles and pigment!! That is based on decades of research and proof. If you have trouble tolerating it you can slowly introduce it to your regimen, mix it with a moisturizer, or find one low in strength. Any other special cleansers, toners, antioxidants, treatments are a bonus. Dont be fooled by expensive marketing that promotes products that dont deliver results....check your ingredients...that is what you should pay for not fancy packaging and a 'free gift' that comes with it. See your dermatologist office! :)

It is so frustrating to read stories like this. I am positive that a Vi Peel is not capable of causing this. It is most likely the laser, or normal changes in the skin. The Vi Peel isnt even a medium depth peel, it doesnt go nearly deep enough to cause these problems. I hope people reading this do not get turned off to trying this awesome peel because of one person's opinoin.

I am a medical aesthetician working for a dermatologist. My best advice for anyone seeking fillers, is to use enough syringes and get full correction the initial treatment. Then the results will last. People get nervous or dont want to spend too much and get less and it will not last long. Because of todays economy many docs are offering great specials. Take advantage of this. I have seen great results from Radiesse with our patients.
