My PRK Experience

hi! I am SO HAPPY that i did this surgery! I CAN SEE! Its crazy! I still have dries eyes but they are totally manageable with restasis and drops.the halos and glares are totally gone except when my eyes are dry - which is just due to the dry eye problem.

I'm doing well! My eyes are still pretty dry but tolderable with restasis and fish oil. I love love love that I can actually see and still think that PRK was one of the best decisions that I ever made! Good luck to you! :)

Hello again! Sorry I did not see the August message. My contact prescription was -4.75 in my left and -3.75 in my right. Since my surgery its been pretty great. It blows my mind that I dont need glasses or contacts. I do have to say that I am having a lot of trouble with dry eyes (especially this winter). I did have the problem prior to PRK (that was one main reason I had trouble wearing contacts) but it has gotten worse with PRK to the point that I do have trouble reading for more than 10 minutes. I have had punctal plugs put in, which helped, and I use gel drops, which also help. Unfortunately, they do not help enough and I am about to start on restasis. Im a little weary of restasis and tried to put it off as long as I can, but I think its something I need to do.
