I had my surgery yesterday morning at 7:30am. It hurt a lot more than I expected, and we'd discussed that I didn't want muscle tightening done, but I think she did it anyway. But I've been sleeping and laying still most of the time so I'm pretty comfortable. I'm going to try getting up and walking around a bit more today, but it gets tiring on my back to stay in a bent over position for a long time. My mom has a walker that I can use, but it's funny being an (otherwise) strong 28 y.o. man and pushing around a walker. I'll probably end up doing a write up of the procedure in a couple weeks with photos along the way, but back to sleep for now.
Thanks for this post. I'm scheduled to get surgery Sept. 29th, and it's helpful to read experiences of other men who have had the surgery after significant weight loss. How are you feeling these days now that you're about 6 months out from surgery?
My surgery date is 9/29. I've been thinking about it for about three years on and off, and after this summer I don't want to spend next summer regretting that my stomach is still embarassing. Looks like 92% of people who've had the surgery say it's worth it though, so it looks like it should be money well spent.
