I couldn't be happier. Everything turned out great, glad I had it done and Dr. Meade did a wonderful job.

I would check with your surgeon. He has to put down a return to work date. You could even have the paperwork faxed straight to their office. I would think that being a nurse you would have a difficult time getting the hospital to approve your return to work with lifting restrictions. Good luck in what you decide to do.

Congrats on your surgery. You're looking great and it gets even better over time (even though it feels like forever). I was concerned about my scar being high also. I do feel like that it is lower now that the swelling is gone.

Did the FMLA paperwork just in case there were any complications. Didn't have any problems getting it through. However, I did think I was going to be able to return to work in two weeks but it turned out that I really needed that third week.
