Yes! Pole is a serious workout! Especially in the arms and the core muscles. It was hard to get back into pole after surgery because of how hard it is on the core, but I worked back into it and now (10 weeks post op) and pretty much back to normal!
My weight DROPPED significantly, actually! I was 160 going into surgery, now I'm 153. I wasn't doing anything in particular with my food - my mom cooked for me so it was pretty healthy/OK - salad, chicken, maybe rice or spaghetti & meatballs.. I personally haven't been calorie counting at all, just making sure i don't go crazy with the food..
My surgeon checked on me wednesday morning (opening up my binder) but she said not to take the binder off, touch anything, until my next appointment (on monday). She opened it up and pulled out the drains and THEN i could shower. I was perfectly fine with the cloth baths and wipes. As for running, I guess it's how your body takes it?? I did NOT feel like running 2 weeks after surgery, and i got bloated after walking the mile from the metro to the dr. office. Mine says I shouldn't ride my bike until 6 weeks post op (it'll be 4 on tuesday). I want to bike so bad!
The drains were quite annoying, i will say, but I only had mine in 6 days (surgery Tuesday, they came out the following Monday). FELT SO GOOD to get them out! As for the garment, when I was first healing I really enjoyed it because it kept me all tucked in. Once I started healing and sitting up more, it became a bit annoying (due to how it bunched up when not reclining). For me, this surgery was worth every annoyance. I look and feel awesome now! Can't wait to get back to dancing! (doctor says 6 weeks.. November 8!!)
