My biggest regret is not doing this sooner, the day before my surgery all the thoughts about backing out crossed my mind....I've lived this long with them what if something happens what if I don't like them. As far as pain there was little to no pain more of being uncomfortable than in pain, you will see it will all be worth it and you will wonder why you ever had any doubts, hope this helps

Thank you, even with the wound separation I do not regret it for one minute. It is more of a feeling of being sore than pain. You really shouldn't be scared of the pain I only took pain meds for the first three days and that was only so I wouldn't have any pain not because I was actually in pain. The drains were a bit annoying I had them for almost two weeks. The left drain did not want to cooperate so it stayed in a bit longer than the right...the worst part will be going back to work I am getting used to not working and sleeping in

It Definately seems like they are giving you the run around. I had a hard time when I first looked into this procedure and calling surgeons finding one who takes insurance period, so I went on my insurance companies website and through my primary care dr I was referred to one who accepts insurance. A lot of drs do not take insurance because they do not get paid as much as they would cash pay, on my explanation of benefits for my surgery the dr billed $6000 but agreed to be paid only a little over $1000 through insurance. She said there are some insurances even she won't accept anymore I was just lucky she took mine and she did an awesome job I am completely happy. If I were you I would try going through the insurance company to see what they can do for you it can't hurt. I was very nervous to get approval due to being denied through my parents insurance 20 years ago but my dr told me it shouldn't be a problem and it wasn't I suppose she knew all the right things to say to get me approved. Best of luck to you, don't give up and keep us posted :)

I just went to my dr yesterday she said my wounds are healing as they are supposed to be, I had wound separation in both breasts under the fold. I was debating before surgery between a D and a C cup decided on a D with the hopes when I lose weight I will maybe go down in cup size also. Right after surgery I dropped 10 lbs I am currently a DD-DDD I'm hoping there is still a more swelling and I will go down a bit more. Oh I also had the vertical scar reduction removing 1000 g from the right and 750 from the left

Stop considering and do it!! I am 5 weeks post op 37 years old and was a 38H. I was shocked when I woke up in recovery the only pain I felt was a burning in my throat from the breathing tube. I am having some minor complications in wound healing but would do it all over again. I had years of back and neck pain, arthritis bone spurs and nerve damage and I haven't taken a pain pill for my back since before surgery. I too am overweight as I had a difficult time with exercise my ps told me often her patients drop weight after due to how good they feel, she was right I am waiting her clearance to start exercise I want the rest of my body to match how great my new boobs look!
