Tampa21- I agree about the pain. It was much worse than I thought. People who don't experience much pain think you are a wimp and must not know pain from a "good workout." This was not true for me, and you either it seems. Everyone is different. An example is why some bruise horribly and others don't. I'm so white and bruise so easily, but didn't during this procedure. 4-5 days of open incisions sounds like ample time for draining. I'm not sure about the fluid but I think everyone's body responds differently to the procedure. Lumps and swollen areas seem to change on me daily. If you trust your doctor, I would just say your body is healing itself and the fluid is just the body responding to the trauma. Good luck!
Ratdogs, It has been about 3 weeks for me. Changes take place on a daily basis. Areas are still numb, then not so numb. Just as soon as I think I'm all healed, I'll do something like put my arm out the window and I'm reminded that my body is still healing. I think everyone is different and even though the process doesn't seem bad for some, we must all remember that the body is dealing with the trauma. I thought I would bruise like crazy (very light skin and bruise easily) but I really didn't. Hang in there, I remind myself daily that it just takes time.
KenWood,
Frankly, you are only seeing one picture- which makes it rather difficult for you to make any assumption. As I mentioned, I did it for myself and the pictures were not posted for you to determine the success of my procedure. They were posted to help others make realistic decisions about the procedure.
