I had the same experience, though luckily I only had to work the first day after the treatment, and then had four days off for Thanksgiving. Today, Sunday, was the first day I could go out and not feel that people were staring at me since the treatment on Tuesday. The first two days I was just super red, and though it looked terrible, I was able to cake on enough make-up to cover it up. At the end of day two, the pixel pattern appeared in brown scabs - it's a 3D effect so can't really be covered with make-up. It's mostly peeled now, and though my face is a bit puffy still, my skin looks pretty nice.
As for pain - the procedure was fine, but my face was very very irritated for a good 48 hrs. No fun.
