Hey Ladies, I'm 4 weeks post-op today and I'm worrying yet again. My belly button looks kind of red. It's the same quality red as my pubic incision, but I'm concerned because it wasn't red like this a few days ago. The top is reddened, but the bottom looks fine. Is this normal? Could my 30 minutes of being in the sun the other day have messed up my bb for good? Can I start using scar cream? I have been terrified of tissue necrosis since having this surgery and every time I have an "issue" I start worrying that it's a big problem. Now, where are those left over valiums?..... j/k :)

Lisa, my incision started weeping at about 1 week post op and I was terrified because of things I had read. It lasted over two weeks, going from a serous red with a halo of serous yellow to the orange that you seem to be talking about. Once it was orange, I was barely draining and it stopped within a few days. I also used sterile gauze to dress it. While it was draining, I cleaned the site more often- 2 or 3 times a day. Hope it stops soon for you. I know how scary it seems.

Kimmers, just saw your most recent photos; you look FANTASTIC! So happy for you!

Ndngirl, if this were facebook, I would "like" your post. My body was DYING to stretch out. In fact, sometimes I would wake in the early morning in pain because I was stretching in my sleep! I know that everyone heals at a different rate, but now at 3.5weeks post-op, I can happily stretch out completely in the morning and it feels FABULOUS! I bet if you do the stretches that Kimmers suggested, you'll be lying flat in no time. To answer your other question, I started sleeping on my side at about 2 weeks post-op, but I did not have any lipo done. Really hoping things start getting much better for you!

Mcallen- I had my TT in July and snuck over to this board to see how you guys were doing! :) I started wearing my regular clothes at 3 weeks post-op. During the week that I couldn't quite button my pants comfortably, I did the pregnancy trick of using a hair tie (or rubber band) through the hole and onto the button. Worked great! Good luck!
