  • Posted to Now Regretting Getting Microderm and a Bluberry Lactic Acid Mask on 12 Jul 2011

I am not a doctor and not even an esthetician, but had a similar peel. On day two it is too early to tell whether the brown spots will stay. In my case my brown spots have peeled off and I was left with renewed, pinkish new skin! Wait till day 7 and please, keep us posted about your results!

Hi there why camouflage if you can plum and tighten instead? Just use a Face Mask (Like Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Plump Perfect Firming Facial Mask or Collagen Face mask by Silhouette Beauty) or do a Facial Peel(this does wonders for me)

NO TCA and peels won't help you under eyes - I don't think it's recommended as skin is pretty thin there. The best treatment would probably be a fat transfer or restylane (consult your Plastic Surgeon in the area you live in). If you are in NY theres a doc who does silicone injections under your eyes. I don't have under eye wrinkles yet but I have seen plenty of before and after photos on my PS's website and I was amazed. The results are permanent!
  • Posted to What natural skincare product has stimulated your collagen growth? on 12 Jul 2011

Hi there I just wanted to add that different skin types have different needs. My skin does not respond to Glycolic Acid, and I had a few very bad reactions from it.(perhaps I am allergic to it). However I respond amazingly well to Lactic acid. ALso my skin in my late 20s only needed Retin A but now that's not enough, its becoming too thin almost like I am losing fat in there. I still use Retin A but now supplement it with weekly Lactic acid peels. I have tried Dermarolling also (the tiny acupunture on your skin) and its not for light hearted. You WILL have puncture wounds all over your face, and I work with people every day - so it's not for me. Now I am also use silicone sheeting to target my wrinkles and that has been really helpful. Your skin will immediately respond with nice softness. As far as creams go I have yet to find any product that actually works!

    Hi Britt,
I know doctors just want you go in and start injecting yourself left and right. I am weak hearted, it scares me to death to have results that will permanently stay on your face and scream "Fake" and "Lumpy". You might not know it, but all Collagen injectables that looked very natural, have been discontinued! Collagen is no longer an option, so you might consider hyaluronic acid injectables - such as Prevelle Silk which will only last 3 months. It will give you a preview of what you will look like, and if you don't like the results, they will dissipate. I like the non permanency of Silk. If you are like me and don't wanna go injectables route, here are some other options: 1. Lactic acid peel. This is my skin savior in the meantime. After you apply it (about 30%) your skin will immediately plump up and stay very nice and plump for about 5-6 days until the next application! NO wrinkles! Lactic has been a God send to me. It works all over your skin, my favorite is forehead - I have a few creepies in my nose area - well, they are immediately gone! It's like 5 day BOTOX in a cup! Try, it you'll love it! 2. At night I apply silicone sheeting. This has been known to induce collagen and healing within skin, and my skin likes it. I only apply in perioral area and my forehead(they stick to your skin). 3.In the meantime, schedule a consult with your derm or PS and discuss any products/options she might have!
