Took a pic to upload but can't figure out how to do it on already posted Q. The reaction was immediate and then went away for a few weeks and then came back. I got a rash for a few days the 1st time but it never returned once it went away. I did not use numbing cream or anything before/after procedure. Just rubbing alcohol. I have highly allergic skin and am prone to rashes. The rash is exactly where the needles went.

SO--I totally lucked out! The plastic surgeon said I was a good candidate for a mini tuck with lipo, because most of the diastasis is around my belly button and the only lose skin I have is below my navel. Apparently, a lot of what I thought was diastasis was just a giant pocket of flab that somehow migrated and collected in the very center of my stomach. It's completely bizarre, because the sides of my tummy aren't lumpy. Must be one of those weird pregnancy things?

She said she thinks a mini tuck would be great for me, and she also agreed to do it with a spinal block, which pretty much sealed the deal for me.

The only hitch is this: I'm about 10-20 pounds above my goal weight. She wants me to lose 10 pounds before she'll do it, because she doesn't want me to lose it afterwards and end up screwing up the look of the tuck. She also thinks it would look better if I were thinner (preaching to the choir!). So--she told me to come back thinner in eight weeks. I'm going off all white carbs for the next two months. It was a good incentive to diet, and I think it's a lot easier to diet when there's an end date.

I have an appointment on Friday for a consultation! I'm praying she says I'm a candidate for a mini, since it seems to require a lot less downtime and appears less painful. My skin is barely loose and only slightly wrinkly, but I definitely have muscle separation going on. Cross fingers for me!

I have a consultation on Friday. It's been two years since I had my last child and I have the typical mom pouch with significant muscle diastasis. My skin isn't too lose, just slightly lax from stretch marks.

What did your belly look like before you had zeltiq? It would be great if you would post before/after pics, because I would love to see what's actually possible post-baby.

I'll probably have a tuck at some point (5yrs?), but my kids are too young and too active for me to be out of commission for so long right now. Hoping this can be the bandaid I need.
