So what is it when a group of individuals that have all been harmed or damaged as a result of treatments administered by a representative in the office all ban together to try to make a company or companies accept responsibility for their negligence? Is that malpractice??
I would like to respond to adm16265 about people asking for a refund after receiving "medical treatments" which were prescribed by a physician. First, I would like to make it clear that when I went into the fig office in Duluth, GA, I spoke to two ladies. One was a sales person, the other indicated that she was a nurse. I went directly from the consultation to an exam room (after passing through to have pictures made and I had to wait to have the camera repaired while I was in there) where I was administered a series of injections. I DID NOT SEE A DOCTOR NOR DID ANYONE WRITE A PRESCRIPTION for "my" individual treatment. From my own experience, it appears that if you are one of the "perfect" candidates and agree to the procedure which comes with a money back guarantee as clearly advertised on television, you are then given the exact same treatment as everyone else that starts the program at that time. The next time, you then need to "double" the dosage so that you can see results. Let me ask, why does fig advertise guaranteed results or your money back? I agree that I have never asked my physician to give my money back, but then I have always received medical treatments which were prescribed by a licensed physician, approved by the food and drug administration and were given to me as a treatment for a specific illness or problem. I am not in the medical profession so I can only speculate that a physician must be confident of the treatment they prescribe because they know that a patient can sue for malpractice if they do something stupid.
Christina, I am so sorry to read about your experience. There are measures that you should take. File a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, a complaint with the Attorney General's office, a complaint with the Food and Drug Administration, and file a complaint with the State Composite Board of Medical Examiners. I am also larger now than before I ever had a treatment which leads me to think that the procedure is not completely safe. If it is, then why are so many people having negative side effects. Some people have reported that as much as a year later they still have swelling. I have gotten very concerned that I made a decision that could potentially have long term side effects (the thought of some of the effects scare me!!)
WELL SAID to mmbatiste!!
Kirk - hope you are beginning to feel better. Unless your experience is different than my own, I have had no treatment since July and I am still swollen all over my entire body and can not wear the same clothes I wore prior to the treatments!!! Best of luck to you in the refund process.
Robin I.
Tonya,
I have not accepted fig's offer for a partial refund. My primary concern is also my health. Fortunately, I have not yet had the severe reaction you had but I feel like I am not outside the window of opportunity yet. My whole body is still swollen to the point that I wonder if I will ever feel "normal" again. My rings are tight, my watch is tight, my clothes do not fit, my legs still have pitted marks when pressed, etc.
I hope BR that posted on here does not have negative experiences like so many others that have posted here have had.
I have gotten very worried now because I really don't know what is happening to my body and if the PCDC is really safe as they say or if there could be some possible long term side effects that have yet to be seen. I hope you are beginning to have some progress in your recovery. Please keep us all update with your posts.
