I had the same thing happen to me.I developed two long crease type wrinkles on each side of my top lip after botox in my crows feet that were not in that area before contrary to these doctors comments. I am well aware of the other wrinkles that I had before the procedure and still have , I am 45 years old and I 150% certain these 2 specific creases were not apparant on my mouth until after botox. I don't believe that botox specifcally caused the creases but I think it played a role in either shifting part of my smile lines more towards my mouth area or somehting to do with how the cheek muscle reacted . I have read that if the botox is injected too low in the crows feet area that it can affect other muscles of your cheek area and muscle and cause lines that may have been in another area in the face be pushed or shift because of the weakness that is caused in the muscle that ws injected ( if done inproper ) can cause an overacting conjoined muscles in other areas of the face resulting in the cheek dropping. I have other small lip lines that I ackowledge were there before the botox but these 2 longer odd crease type lines seem to be caused by my cheek dropping and skin being pushed towards my mouth persay ( like someone is squeezing my cheeks slightly causing the creases) even when my face is at rest. I have read by other doctors that this indeed can happen because when you inject the crows feet area too low it can affect the zygomaticus muscles of the face. If I try to squint my eyes and feel the connection of the muscles of my face, you can feel that the areas where I have the creases are the lowest point of my face being tugged by those muscles. It is not just ironic. I will try to update as to when my botox wears off and if the creases move back to their normal position
