Am now 5 weeks 3 days post op and have removed my compression garment. I am now back to the same routine of hiking the North Vancouver mountains. I dropped 10 lbs from the just before the tummy tuck till now. I want to drop another 10 and that should do it. I have very little swelling, am still tight though, and no pain. I am 5' 4 and prior was 154 lbs. Pants that I had purchased prior now fit, size 8. This was the best decision I have ever made for myself. No regrets. I look great. I can wear a small top without the muffin top am no longer afraid to look at myself in the mirror, more confidence, and self esteem. I will post some pictures, although I did not take any prior to the surgery, as again was too self-conscious.
Very good time line of honesty. Four weeks tomorrow for me, feeling a few pulls on my side, probably too much walking. Taking it a little easier now, still walking, but not the 4 kms I have been doing. I am do not want to put on any weight, My biggest problem is not sleeping. I can sleep on my side, but still wake every hour. Spent many a night reading at 3 am. Am sleeping in the spare room as not to disturb my husband. Finally got a few sleeping pills from the Doctor yesterday to help me get back on track. Still wearing the compression garment. With the weather hanging at 17 degrees sure makes wearing it more comfortable. I hate to think of wearing this at 30.
Hi Kim,
Thank you for your reply to my comment. I really do feel great, I have not had a t3 or Ibuprofen for at least the last 12 days. I am still wearing the girdle. I know I am supposed to take it easy right now, but I over the past week I have started walking up to 4Ks per day. I will most certainly keep you updated on my recovery.
Take care
