Looks good already. People may not see much of a difference because it is a subtle change. Mine was too and nobody has commented on it! Maybe they are just keeping quiet?
I didn't realise you were going to Antwerp at first. Was travelling ok? I think you've been blessed with having that surgeon sounds like everything turned out perfectly. As for Elyzea as I said I enquired about revision surgery. But Sue took 5 weeks to reply to me that I need to go to London for Dr Van Canneyt to review my case. I'm in the North East so that's good news, not...
I'm beginning to change my initial attitude about Elyzea now. Obviously revision and service is not high on their list of priorities.
I had Rhinoplasty with Dr Van Canneyt last summer over in Brussels. I was initially happy, or happier with the appearance of my nose but it is still not completely straight. I had basically all what you describe you are having. He took out some cartilage to lift a longish nose and filed the hump at my bridge and this was a good result. Wounds recovered quickly (1-2weeks) which is greatly helped by a skilled pair of hands I believe. I want to contact them again to discuss a possible revision though because the angle of my nose from the front has not changed. I don't know what they'll have to say about that. The clinic itself is ultra modern and the staff all seem efficient in their roles. Problem I have is that the consultation and aftercare was with a patient assistant (in Manchester) and never with the surgeon. The only time I met with Dr.Van Canneyt was for 10 minutes before and for two minutes after surgery. Then I walked my merry way back to the hotel! So in my opinion, pre and aftercare is a bit of a joke because I just didn't have the time to connect with the surgeon. Even at the time it all felt a bit inadaquate, but I thought, well I'm here now so no going back... and I had to place all my trust in him from merely a handshake and a briefing. No offence to Sue Dechamps the assistant (who attended my surgery also) she is lovely, but I would prefer to talk to my surgeon about any concerns and not a third party.
I initially wanted to do this in 2006 but I missed my appointment with Dr Oelbrandt. So he has been there some years. I don't recall been given a choice of surgeons curiously this time around.
Everything will be fine, just look after yourself in terms of organising flights/trains, accomodation/routes in advance because the procedure itself was a doddle for me but travelling back post-op was tiring. Late trains/hotel reception altercations etc. You don't need that stress.
Post here and let us know what happened afterwards as there is not a lot of info on them and they are a very large business serving all Europe.
I agree. I've heard about being between a certain age as the right time to have surgery Something like 20-35. But i've heard of people in their 60s going for it. If you don't like your nose at 20, you probably won't like it at 60.
You don't need to. Although I wouldnt travel to India, I did go abroad for Rhino. If you are happy with your results then thats great. I think it makes a huge and beneficial difference to your appearance.
