    Hi Robyn...

I am a fellow South African and i loved reading your review...awesome wish i had the patience to do one. Your results are great!

I had a mommy makeover (june 2011) at one of the best teaching hospitals in the country and i have to say im taken back by the level of care i received from the nursing staff and the compassion of the doctors has restored my faith in our healthcare system..I too spent three days in hospital one before and two after...and was monitored constantly even the night before the surgery which was kind of weird lol. I never could have left the hospital an hour after the op and would'nt have been allowed to...wow our american counterparts are truly brave, i still cant get past that.

I had the same problem with the sofas in my house, its incrediably hard those first few days at home i hardly slept and moved from one bedroom to another trying to find comfort all the pillows in the world did not help and in the end i found some peace in a garden chair. I actually found a large incline pillow/stub for my legs a few days before the op but it was R700 and i thout ita kinda a waste to buy something that i would only need for about a week. I really regretted that decision since it would have made all the difference the first few weeks. Sjoe it was almost impossible to sleep to the point that i wanted to cry.

Then there was that darn socks they make you wear wow did i have trouble staying still when i got home everyone was suprised by how much i moved around but it was pure torture...until i eventually got someone to take the socks off me and two hours later i felt so much better n was able to relax and not move every two mins..

I actually struggled to find a binder here and was suprised that no one knew what i was taking about lol i eventually found one and even my doc looked suprised since it's a public hospital they dont have things like that only the neccessaries like the socks thingy to avoid DVT.The doc said to wear the binder for about three weeks but i wore it up until 5 weeks. i spent sooo many hours trying to find one i think that most PS here get theirs from abroad.Dont even metion the bra that closes up on the front! i ended up buying a shock absorber which worked well, i actually came accross the right bra the other day in a chinese underwear shop of all places lol, its always at the last place you'll ever look.

i have been told i can start gym again but should avoid the treadmill and hopping movements(i had an internal bra done aswell) im starting monday so that i can have super toned arms and legs by summer to compliment my new stomach. :-)

how long have you been told to use the micropore tape? im getting bored with it and since im two months post op im just wondering if i can stop..i dont see my doctor until end of october again and they are so busy that i dare not bother them...i have been told to use any oil for the scars...but im thinking of trying Palmers shark oil(from clicks) for a change..it has such a rich texture im wondering if it will make a difference...im really starting to slack with my scar massage - once a day is really not enough if i want minimal scarring...i over heard one doc recommending three to four times a day for best results?? how messy would that be trying to do it at work lol..

Are you still wearing some kind of under garment and has it made any further difference past the intial six weeks? and what is the hyperfix that you are using?

    regards
    xxxxxx

hi Kimmers, i was hope there would be some nutritional advice from you on here and im so glad i found it;-)....purely because your early post op and pre op pics look just like mine and you have done such a good job of maintaining your results i was hoping to gain some inspiration...by reading this post i see im on the right track with my eating...i was just wondering what type of weight tracking do you do? i have some bra/fat i wanna get rid and my legs need an overhaul...i usually do the david kirsch program to get into shape before...but im afraid its to agressive with the quick weight lose and want to mess with my new breast volume...did you experience any changes in your breasts with your hard workouts...thanx in advance charls
