I take measurements every month - 6 weeks, and since I wrote this, I think I've lost about an inch off my chest. I think it's a combination of my boobs settling in and a little bit of weight loss.
Yes, I am under the impression that buying bras in the UK is much easier for a much wider range of sizes. I generally order my bras from UK sites that ship to the US or once I know a style I really like, from ebay.
I also think in the US we have a huge problem acknowledging that there is a range of sizes above a DD or DDD cup size, but that's a whole different discussion :)
I asked to be about a C-cup or 1/4 of the size I was originally. Cup size can be extremely subjective and difficult to measure or guarantee and I had read somewhere that gives a more numerical reference to size helped. My PS removed over a pound from each side. I definitely feel and look different, and I think a lot of the fixation on sizes is just in my head.
Unfortunately, I do not have pictures to post for reference to any of this. At my 6 month visit the doctor's computers were down so they couldn't get me copies. And I have managed to have cropped my chest out of almost all pictures of me from before surgery.
The first time I got a real bra fitting the woman said "you are so small and then there's just these boobs!" My ribcage measurement is around 29.5-30.5 inches, depending.
I'm about 9 months out from surgery. I had some initial swelling and then it seemed like I woke up one day and they had settled into place.
