My insurance paid for the hernia repair and the percentage of the total surgery time that was allocated to the hernia repair. So one hour was covered of the surgery, anesthesia, etc. All the rest was self paid.
Beeba5 I chuckled at your comment! I have 5 kids and had all of them in my 40s! I am one week shy of being one year post my surgery and I love how I look now.
I had my MM last June and it was the best thing I ever did for myself. My PS used mesh since I am extremely active (like you). I am glad she did and I wore a bathing suit this year for the first time in 11 years. See my full recovery journal under RunningSue. Good luck!
I posted a detailed account of my mm surgery from pre op to 8 weeks post op. You can look it up under my pseudonym RunningSue. I am now 6 months post surgery and could not be happier.
I am 5'2" and 112 lbs very active, low body fat. I was a 32AA and had 287CC moderate profile silicone implants and now am a 32D. Surgery was June 14, 2011. The size is perfect for me with an active lifestyle.
