    Hello donnainKS!

Thank you so much for your information and update!
Best wishes to you in your thoughts and search of information regarding the surgery.

I thought about it for a couple of years, then my quadruple chin got so bad that I just couldn't take it anymore LOL...I pretty much just jumped right in and did it before I changed my mind.

I am thankful that my surgery came out well and that I look great. I hope you have the same results!

    Hello,

The bruising is not the only thing that you have to worry about to "look" presentable for work and public. It's the swelling. Your face does look like a pumpkin for quite some time. I do think it depends on what all you have done. I had a full lower face lift. They cut completely around my ears, and underneath my chin, cut the muscles in my face and under my neck to sew them up tighter, then lipo suctioned my neck. That is a lot to have done to your face/neck at one. And I do think some people heal quicker than others. I can only attest to my experience.

My heavy bruising took 3 to 4 weeks (but I could cover that with makeup), the swelling got better but it took 3 months later in August, for the first time I could wear a motorcycle helmet for 30 minutes, and then had to take it off.

I am not at all trying to scare anyone off by my posts. But, let's face it...it is a very serious surgery, and to me these healing and swelling times should be expected...but, it is NOT what they told me, so I was concerned and shocked.

I am very, very happy with my results...I look soooo much better. I am disappointed that Dr. Farias has not emailed back and it does affect my opinion of the Clayton office and him. However, the bottom line is this is a serious surgery that takes a long time to heal...but, I'm still glad I did it.

    Hello,

I have an interesting update to share. Right after our prior posts I emailed Dr. Farias directly to ask him if he is a board certified plastic surgeon. I have his personal email. He used to email me a lot during my healing time, and I can tell that he is online almost all the time. I gave him three days to respond, when again, I can clearly see that he is online. Guess what...he will not answer me back.

So, while I cannot say whether he is board certified or not, I do know that he will not answer my email addressing that question. To me, this is, curious behavior. And, quite the shame, I was going to go back to him for my eye lids....

I thought for sure they were board certified surgeons. Caros Farias was who did my surgery. I have to admit if I had read these comments I might have backed out too. But, I really am happy with my results. You need to be prepared that this is a very invasive surgery. There's a lot more to it than they let on. There are a lot of stitches, and a lot of down time. But...again, for me, I look wonderful.

I am a university professor. I almost did this over Christmas break (4 weeks) since they promised I would be ok for working in two weeks. Thank heavens I waited for Summer break. I would have never wanted to face my classes the way I looked. It took a while to heal. Any time I emailed Dr. Farias he emailed back to reassure me. It was scary, both the procedure and the long recovery time...mainly because I don't think they prepare you for that. I think if they told everyone up front the "real story" it would run off many customers.
I again have to say, I speak for a living and my looks are very important to me. I'm glad I did it...but it certainly is not "a cake walk". :-)

    Hello,

I would be interested to see if you find anything with the Attorney General's office.

I didn't realize they are not board cerified plastic surgeons? I thought I had checked that out, but this was two years ago for me. I do know that LifeStyle Lift was endorsed by Oprah Winfrey so I felt comfortable with using them.

I am also very, very happy with my look. I look great!! My only complaint was the healing time. It took a lot longer than the doctor told me it would.
