Again, I cannot express how disheartened we are to learn of your experience and would like to personally do what we can to help you. HIPAA laws prevents us from contacting you directly but please do not hesitate to contact me directly at 508-358-7400. We have already made contact with your physician and she, along with the company, remains very conscientious in following your post-care.
As mentioned above, there have been no reports of similar adverse events in treating 100’s of other patients with ePRIME. Please note that well-intentioned people will offer their advice to you, but because ePRIME is new technology whose science is widely unknown to most practitioners (i.e., ePRIME is often mistakenly referred to as a 'laser.’) advice is best to be taken from an experienced practitioner.
We highly recommend that you continue to follow your provider’s post-care instructions and encourage you to contact us directly, the manufacturer of this device, should you wish to discuss your treatment with another physician with relevant treatment experience.
Dear Mosellv,
As the Product Manager responsible for ePRIME, I am always concerned about the physician’s and patient’s experience treating with ePRIME. I was indeed present at your session and from my observations, the treatment was delivered consistent with many of the other ePRIME treatments I have previously watched. I wanted to reassure you that ePRIME has an excellent safety record, with published and pending studies reporting no adverse events or complications in treating over 150 patients. Side effects from the ePRIME treatment are generally mild and include redness, superficial bruising and swelling. While temporary edema is almost always observed following an ePRIME treatment, the amount of swelling experienced depends on the individual patient. Most physicians consider the swelling an indication that the normal healing process, which generates new dermal tissue, is taking place. Typically, patients can return to usual activities as soon as 5-7 days and sometimes as soon as 24-48 hours, although individual healing times vary from patient to patient. All ePRIME treatment side effects can be mitigated by appropriate physician post-treatment care and adhering to physician instructions. There has never been any report of any permanent side-effects as a result of an ePRIME treatment and even those patients that experience extended downtimes demonstrate improved skin tone and volume, sometimes beyond typical expectations. We will continue to follow your progress through your practitioner. Please keep updating your blog with your current progress!
Sincerely yours,
Lou Amberg III.
