I think this is a good question and though I'm absolutely no doc, I think your pictures pretty well express your concerns! Hopefully someone will answer you properly. For the record, I don't think you look like you needed all that much doing surgically (if anything) so that may have contributed to your non-dramatic results, but I agree that from your pix there isn't a significant difference. You're not crazy to ask this question after such an expense and hassle of surgery. What does your surgeon say?
What these doctors fail to mention is that you have a nice face! When I was your age, I fancied the hell out of boys who looked like you - interesting, intelligent and attractive. You have a great "look". You have clearly become an expert in what you perceive is a flaw, and that may have grown into a far more exaggerated view of yourself than anyone else could possibly see in you. (I can relate to that, I'm far too hard on myself too and always have been.) But if a stranger's view means anything, I think you look cool. So, to hear you'd be willing to undergo such violent, dangerous surgery unnecessarily is concerning, and I hope you come to embrace your great look.
A family member had a similar issue - I support the doctor's advice that you should probably see your internist, particularly if this is something that is new. You say you've recently noticed it, so best just to get it checked out.
Hi there - I'm curious about something - I had a good experience with ulthera and see so many really didn't (I've posted a review). What areas did you have treated, and do you know what depth transducers they used? I had mine done at the 4mm and 3.5 depths on mid+lower face and under chin. I'm going back for the 1.5mm, and wonder if this has more risk of developing welts and swelling - so if you happen to know what was used on you that might be useful knowledge. I'm really sorry to hear you had such a lousy time. Shame on your doctor for not checking on you! It's not like this is a manicure...
