Hi Ali, I had the Active FX done this past Monday and my face is beet red and sore. Although I do not know what the brown dots are, I had them and they wash away very soon. The redness is still with me but I think in a few more days, I will be back to a normal skin color.:) Hang in. Lin

Hi Vicky, I am sure that you have your answer by now but mine ended up costing me a total of $2600 which included a facility fee and a $200 'kit' of necessities. See my other comments on November 23rd. Good luck. Lin

Hi Lee, I got a promotion at the last minute which saved me money but the plastic surgeon found a way to eat-up more of my money anywat.:) Total cost ended up being $2600 plus Valtrex pills which were $140. since I do not have an RX plan. If you go ahead with the procedure, make sure the cost includes the facility fee! I didn't learn of that cost until 3 days before the procedure. Lin

I had the Active FX Laser procedure done on Nov. 19th in my plastic surgeon's office in Delray Beach. Even though my face had a numbing cream on it, the laser hurt a lot. I was given a total of 6 injections inside my mouth to numb the lip area and around the crows feet area. That part was numbed very well, but when the laser started on the other parts of my face, it really hurt! I have a lot of swellling and my face is so red that it looks like I have been baked in an oven. The peroxide compresses are excruiating painful but are a necessity to heal. It has not been pleasant but today is day 5 and I am starting to have a less 'baked' look but am itchy. I was told to take OTC Benadryl to lessen the itch. I wear a headband to keep my hair off my face. I beleive that by Monday, I will be presentable to go out in the daytime............wearing lots of sunscreen, of course. The cost was $2,000 (a promotion) + $500 for the facility fee and $200 for a 'kit' of expensive cleanser and intensive therapy cream w/ cheap things thorwn in like disposable glove, gauze, peroxide, etc. Also, I had to get an RX for Valtrex to prevent cold sores. Apparently, cold sores can be common after this procedure. If I knew all of this beforehand, I may not have done it but right now, I think that I will have good results. My face was in good shape overall but I wanted rid of some lines and wrinkles and hopefully some of my sagging jaws. Hope this helps. Lin of Delary
