DO NOT DO VIBRADERMABRASION, IT DESTROYED MY SKIN. I had one treatment at an upscale medspa under the direction of a top facial plastic surgeion. It was actually a groupon offer (I know be afraid, be very afraid) and was advertised as a light buffing to remove dullness. What it actually is is a metal paddle covered with stainless steel abrasives that vibrates over your face at 88 hertz. It was orginally supposed to be used only by a skilled doctor or RN as it removes your entire stratum corneum. But now apparently they sell the machine to medispas. I had very smooth skin with invisible pores and only a few age spots on my face. After one treatment my this stupid and incompetent, and obviously untrained girl, I was left with visibly enlarged pores over my entire face and a network of fine scarring -- thin little gouge lines all around my mouth, chin and nasolabial area. The damage remains nearly two years later. AGAIN NEVER DO THIS PROCEDURE.
I had ONE vibraderm treatment to my skin a year ago and I am now left with visibly enlarged pores entire face (a dermatologist opinion), textural changes and SCARS on my upper lip and chin. This device uses a paddle embedded with abrasives that vibrates over your face at 80 hertz. I had nearly invisible pores and just a few age spots on my upper cheeks. My skin is RUINED. I am a Fitzpatrick IV and this treatment should never have been done on my face. If you have not had this procedure done, don't do it. You WILL be damaged.
One vibradermabrasion treatment left me with permanently enlarged pores, entire face, and visible scarring on my upper lip. I had the ONE treatment at the medspa of my plastic surgeon as it was advertised as a "light buffing". Prior to the treatment I had nearly invisible pores, very few wrinkles and just a few age spots on my upper cheeks. My skin was very smooth. I have fitzpatrick type 4 skin and this procedure should never have been done on me. The incompetent aesthetician went way too deep and in fact stopped the procedure after 7 minutes. My face was so irritated and burning that I went to my dermatologist for treatment. Unfortunately, the damage was done. Once your pores become enlarged, they stay that way. It has been nearly a year since this debacle and I want to cry every time I look in my makeup mirror and see the enlarged pores and scars on my upper lip. Be afraid, be very afraid and never do Vibradermabrasion.
