  • Posted to 7wks PO-- tired of recovering. ready to just be a normal person again!! on 3 Dec 2012

Hi, Hope you are feeling well. I read your story today and we have some similarities. I too have scoliosis. I had a TT w MR June of 2011. I can tell you that the MR is nice but at times the back pain is still there. Cosmetically of course I look better, but I have numbness that will never go away and I also have a pretty bad scar ( vertical) right below my BB. So there are def. trade offs. I also had a bladder sling too, that part has been great. Now with being a year and a half out I can say that I'm happy I did it but the MR was not a cure all for the back pain. I too, researched this and asked many doctors about it. None could tell me for sure because they really didn't know the outcome. Best of luck to you.

You look so much better!!! Congrats!!
No one will notice the difference in clothes, swimsuit, or lingerie.
No one's are perfectly the same. I think you look 150 percent better!

    Hi,
Your before pics are very similar to mine. I'm a little taller but with a similar shape.
I had a MM over a year ago. I had implants exchanged, lift, and TT.
I also had a vertical scar from my old BB because there was not enough
Skin to pull down. Later the scar had to have a revision.
At the one year point the scar doesn't bother me as much but I still
Have to hide it when wearing a bikini. I use derma blend for that.
Do I wish I didn't have the scar? Yes. But do I look a lot better now in clothes,
Especially shirts that are tight around the waistline? YES!!
It is wonderful no longer worrying about the muffin top that I had dvdn though I wore a size 4. Good luck and don't worry, you'll be fine.
Ps- Id get the implants though. You don't need huge ones either, just a little to have them always keep a pretty shape. Just my opinion.

    Hi there,
I have a vertical scar from mommy makeover that is very similar to yours. I am 8 months out from surgery now. Life is normal now. I love the results but sometimes the scar still bothers me. I hope your recovery continues to go well!

Now I am almost at 5 months. My energy is back to normal for sure and it has been for quite some time. I still have patches of numbness, and the areas around my incision still feel strange to me. I am not sure if I will ever get used to that. I also don't notice any swelling at all any more at this point. At times I hate the scar from my old BB, but then I remember how much I like the way I look in clothes now vs. before. All of this is a trade off and there are positives and negatives to everything.
