I haven't had my period other since right after surgery, which is a prime time for me. I did have migraines most weeks 1-5 times each week prior to surgery.
Since surgery I have had only 2, but I hadn't drank much water 1 day. They were very mild and might not even have been actual migraines.
Mine often start as tension between my shoulders.
I was just wondering about anyone else's experiences.
I hope the 2.5 weeks without that excruciating, nauseating pain is not just a fluke. Only time will tell!
But it was for pain, and it worked!
I am only over a week out with the thick ropey scars, I am uneven, and I don't care, knowing it will get better. At 1st I did care, but then I looked back at my "pre" pics and remembered they were uneven,to my belly, and far from perfect then...while also causing me pain. So even if they don't look ideal when they're fully healed, it was worth it.
And guess what...my husband doesn't care either. They're still boobs, and that's what guys like ;)
General is the way to go so you will be paralyzed...don't want to wiggle and mess this surgery up, right?!
As scary as it sounds...you are very closely monitored and not only does the medication wear off, they have other meds to reverse the effects when you are done. I woke up and was walking to the bathroom within an hour, and was out the door not long after that.
Just be prepared for the possibility of a slightly sore throat. If they offer you the option of a Scopalimine patch I highly recommend it. They gave me one and this was the first time I didn't throw up coming out of it! I fall into a high risk category for that (young non-smoker) , so you may not experience it.
