Mornin' Pam: I too am scheduled for my TT 5/21/12 at 7:30AM. I was to have my MM last 6/8/11, but I didn't quit smoking in time and tested positive for nicotine. My PS went ahead with the lift and I'm a VERY Happy Camper (and so is my hubby)! I just turned 57 today. I quit smoking 3/1/12 and tested negative for nicotine on 4/11/12--we're ready to proceed with surgery and I can't wait. I know exactly how you feel, but you'll be fine. Your hubby sounds very supportive, so go for it - I sure am! My hubby bought a recliner for me for this surgery; he's got my back and will be with me all the way, as he has been. I only had one son (33 yrs old now) and breastfed so I know what you mean about the "girls." I do aerobics/step and jog at least 4x a week and worked on my stomach. Sure I lost weight and am fit, but the skin hanging in front looks awful. I'm so looking forward to getting my pre-mommy body back! This is going to be hard on both of us; stay reading and conversing with the ladies here on Real Self, as will I, and we'll be fine! Good luck/God be with you (and me!)....
I had an aunt (through marriage) who I told and she didn't say anything. I was hurt and so disappointed. I expected her to be supportive. It affected our relationship and I kissed our friendship goodbye and just treat her with respect when and if we meet. Jealousy...it's a bad thing. You're going to run into people/family/friends like that. Go ahead and get your procedure and I wish you the very best. Stick with this forum and you'll have all the support you need. Good luck.
My thoughts will be with you at that time as I will be healing myself--I'm scheduled 5/21/12 at 7:15. I'm 57, work full time, happily-married 2nd time around, and mother of one son who is grown and gone. Tired of exercising and still having a pouch of skin in front...I want a flat stomach and since I'm still working and hubby is retired and supportive of me, I'm getting this procedure now...so I WON'T LOOK LIKE MY MOTHER LATER!!!
Best of luck to you!

Glad you found the site, too. I found it last year when I had my lift; this year, I'm having my TT. This site is a "life saver" and a great basis of support when you go through this. Good luck to you,
